Summit is a small congregation of around 80 members, 25 of whom attend the Sunday service. While many members are older, there are some young families. People wear what's comfortable for them. There is plenty of parking and the main entrance is the one with the canopy (where you may drop people off in bad weather or if they need assistance). Someone will greet you at the door. The worship space is to the right, and the restrooms are to the left. Visitors are always welcomed warmly. You are invited to contact us if you'd like more information before attending for a first time. Email the church with any questions or comments. E-Mail: click here to send us a message |

Prayers for All "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." (1 Timothy 2:1-2) These words of advice from Paul's first letter to Timothy are just as relevant today as they were when those words were first written. There are many different ways we are called to be leaders, in our homes, in our churches, in our schools, in our work places, in our local, state and national governments as well as world organizations. Being a leader is no easy task at any level. It is all to easy to criticize and find fault. Whether we agree we with one's leadership or not, scripture reminds us to pray for all people, including those in authority. In this time of transition for our nation and time of turmoil in many places around the world, let us pray for leaders throughout the world. Where hearts are hardened, let us pray that they may be softened by Divine grace. Let us pray for the gifts of wisdom, understanding and discernment for all in leadership through out the world, that their hearts may remain humble and open to Divine guidance; that their decisions may promote peace and justice throughout the world. Let us pray for all people that we learn to listen in order to gain understanding; that we learn stop attacking one another, yet be willing to speak the truth in love in order to work together to solve the problems we encounter with humility and open hearts and minds to Divine guidance. God of wisdom, compassion, grace, and love, who both comforts and challenges, may it be so! Amen! California Wildfires 2025

Shari Prestemon "Steadfast God, we watch in horror as fires rage in Southern California, and we pause to raise these humble petitions to you. For all those forced to evacuate, who leave so much that is precious behind and know not what the future holds, surround them with your gentle presence in these hours of tortured worry and waiting. For each beloved one who has already realized the unfathomable loss of everything familiar, of homes and schools and places of worship and so much more that was their anchor and community, receive their shock and overwhelming grief and hold them close in love. For those called out to fight the flames, to rescue and to help, for those tasked with leading through the crisis, for hospitals that receive the wounded, and for all those extending care even while they themselves have suffered loss, grant the capacity to withstand all that overwhelms and wearies. And in the uncertain days to come, draw near to all who weep and rage as they begin to sift through the rubble and ash left behind. Stir bits of hope amid despair. Lend strength when exhaustion overtakes them. May they be wrapped in a blanket of grace and healing woven by each act of compassion and generosity we now extend. O God, in your wide and tender mercy, hear our fervent prayers. Amen." 988 - No Judgment-Just Help Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Number 988.
